POESIE

A MIA MADRE
Ti ho visto in faccia in quella stanza
io sporco di sangue e muco
tu stravolta e curiosa
sarebbe stata ipocrisia e paradosso
ti avevo appena fatta soffrire
ti avevo fatto sanguinare
eppure ero io a piangere e tu a sorridermi
Ti ho visto in faccia in quella stanza
Ti ho visto in faccia in quella stanza

EPICEDIO
Non sento orti dentro me
solo steppa e tundra
Nessun fruscio di crescita o di vita
Nessuna trasformazione
Nessun organo di luce
Soltanto scie grigie
come vortici di numeri di roulette
e lampi magri
come radici di pianta carnivora
che divora angeli e aerei
al di sopra delle nubi

Non sento porti dentro me
solo navi bombardate
Nessun formicolio di pulsante gioia attiva
Nessun trasporto o sollevamento
Nessun roteare di fari
Soltanto voragini e banchine sbrecciate
solo ganci di gru abbandonate
che dondolano al vento come donne impiccate

Non sento morti dentro me
solo scheletri e silenzi
Nessun ricordo spezzato
come un ombrello dal temporale
Nessuna ernia da sollevamento lapidi
Nessun cacciavite a inchiavardare bare
Soltanto un asindeto di visioni amare
solo semafori lampeggianti grigio
in incroci deserti orfani di clacson

Non sento forti dentro me
solo tende strappate
Nessuna donna che si fa sull’uscio
a salutare l’uomo che va via
Nessuna casa dalla schiena di pietra
Nessuna chiesa con le croci intere
Soltanto ombre impresse sui muri

E danzo, danzo, danzo
fino a che resterò in piedi
Danzo, danzo, danzo
perché sei tu che me lo chiedi.

VENGO A PORTARTI UNA POESIA DI NERUDA
Ho un galoppo nel cuore
e onde al guinzaglio
Di questo mare insepolto
impasterò vento e sabbia
per costruire i tuoi piedi rumorosi
e sentirli danzare dentro i miei occhi
Per raggiungerti salgo
dal mare alla collina
La mia testa si ridisegna stella
per chiamare le tue voci
Le mie labbra si arcuano stanche
in sorrisi autunnabondi e distratti
questi temporali
che non riescono più a rinfrescarci,
queste celebrazioni e abbracci
A te,
bicchiere dall’orlo sbeccato
che non posso baciare senza ferirmi
A te,
orecchio reciso e gettato su un prato
per ascoltare i segreti delle formiche
A te,

Sono l’autorete  all’ultimo secondo

e gelide catene ti danzano attorno

E continuano a piovere preghiere e bestemmie
che evaporano appena toccan la sabbia
e continuano a strisciare in un silenzio velenoso
avverbi, aggettivi,  parole senza suono

E ombra    ombra

TRANSLATIONS

Shadow March
Ropes are falling from the sky
and frozen chains dance round you
It’s a world of knots
to be unraveled in the dark
between a bolt of phosphorus
and one of cries
It’s a tangle of ropes
that defy the scissors’ hands
A comb that gets caught
in an unthinking mane

Shadow… shadow
Another blink of the eye (and then it’s)

I look around myself and all I see is walls.
Even my mirror has become a wall.
On your breasts a skin of wall has grown
My heart, my senses
Reincarnated in walls
And prayers and curses keep on raining down
Evaporating as soon as they touch the sand.
And adverbs, adjectives and words without a sound
Slither away in a poisonous silence

Shadow… shadow
Another blink of the eye

Of the sun I see only its reflection
In iridescent puddles of rainwater
Of the moon I perceive its presence in the dark
In the faraway barking of chained dogs.
My peace is not the lack of war
My peace is the absence of the concept of war.

Shadow… shadow
Another blink of the eye and then it’s…

THE WOMAN OF THE SWEET TEARS
You are the woman of the sweet tears
Every single gesture is a light flame
You are the shadow, you are the cat that flees and then returns
You are the impact of the train against the overhanging branches

An alembic full of mercury and sulphur
boils at night between your perfect breasts
How many alchemists have lost their lungs
pursuing the fumes of your sweaty body!

You are the woman that dictates the rhythm of the seasons,
that halves the lapse between one of my heartbeats and the next
You are Venus rising from a lava flow
You are Psyche holding the lamp aglow

You trample the earth without even realizing
that at every step you take, a garden springs forth
For your hair the wind thanks God
for having given it a reason to live

I dance
I dance the dance of brilliant ideas
hoping that you will tell me something new
I dance the dance of the losers and the lost
knowing that my steps will be in vain
I dance the dance of the happy naive
thinking that my sweat will help somebody
I dance the dance of the profiteers
and I will dance until you’ll pay me

——And I dance I dance I dance
to overcome my arrogance
I dance I dance I dance
the why has no importance

I dance the dance of the damned
because the spleen reaches my thorax
I dance the dance of the presumptuous
Because you too are one of them if you think you’re in my league
I dance the dance of the undesired
I’ve trained myself a lot in front of closed doors
I dance the dance of the intollerants
Can you move over a little, please?

——And I dance I dance I dance
——until I’ll remain standing
——I dance I dance I dance
——because it’s you who are asking

A drink downtown
My heart is an empty chair
where no one wants to sit
and my brain a soggy sponge
the angels wring into your glass

And that burning oxidian glance of yours
slides down your nose and turns into a kiss
and down and down, to our knees
that touch, and move apart
exchanging desires of bone and synovitis.
A drink downtown
and I am at a loss
Bistrot table, hors d’oevres plates, breasts against a sweater, rims of glasses,
it’s a delirium of rotundity running away
a moth hitting against the windows of your silence
——The street dances quickly out of the corner of our eyes
——Fingers are hooks to hang your smiles on
Give me a word to frame and hang tonight above my bed
because it’s tired you know
of Madonna tears
and the dripping of perpetual stigmata
Give me your feet
and maybe even double them
so I can shoe the legs of the kitchen table
and kiss them at every breakfast
worshipping in laic and carnal oration
Or, get up, let’s go.
Open that tan compass
that was used to trace the equator
Against the sunset
your black profile
weaves together with the stenography
of the hilltops
and every step you take is an exclamation point.
Let me be the shirt
under the red iron of your tongue
Let me be the sea
for your squid hands
swollen with ink and certainties
And tonight
I will listen to the harpstrings of your narrow feet
between the sheets and flames
and I will close your palms
after having read there the last unforgettable chapter of my day.
Let me be the one to open
the door to your dreams
before resting
my eyes on the nightstand
and the world on Atlas’s shoulders.

I am
I am the Apostle
left out from the Last Supper,
One of Garibaldi’s men
too late to the rock of Quarto
I am the Messiah
of a religion with no believers

I am the excluded, the outsider, the damned who won’t surrender.

I am the main character
who dies on the first page
The stray and mangy cat
no old lady wants to pet
I am the rabid beast
that bites the hand that feeds it

I am the excluded, the outsider, the damned in eternity

I am the unexpected wave
stealing towels and radios
The misunderstanding
making couples fight
I am the devil
dodging Luther’s inkpot
The reel of film that snaps
Before the final scene.

I am the excluded, the outsider, a hammer in the brain

I am the pinball that’s swallowed
one point shy of the record
The  goal scored against myself
before the clock runs out
The kid making faces
at his mother’s slaps
I am the fear of the grass
about to be cut

I am the excluded the outsider, this page torn out…
